Buganda sub region's National Resistance Movement (NRM) Vice Chairperson, Hon Godfrey Ssuubi Kiwanda, has lauded the Rt. Hon Robinah Nabbanja for her remarkable efforts in bridging the gap between the Prime Minister's office and the grassroots communities. Kiwanda's appreciation was expressed during the ongoing national farmer mobilisation campaign, where the Prime Minister is actively engaging in raising awareness about the four sectors and seven strategies for wealth and job creation. This campaign recently unfolded in the districts of Kagadi, Kibaale, and Kakumiro over the weekend.
Prime Minister Nabbanja has been at the forefront of urging agricultural extension workers to follow her example by leaving their offices and directly transmitting important messages to farmers, ensuring the adoption of key activities. During an Agricultural expo in Kagadi, she stressed the importance of extension officers encouraging farmers to focus on high-value agricultural products and treating farming as a business.

This comprehensive farmer education, mobilisation, value addition, and service delivery campaign kicked off on August 18th of this year. It is being jointly organized by the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit (PMDU) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries.
The agricultural expos, known for bringing together small-holder farmers, large-scale farmers, farmer associations, agricultural researchers, and agri-business companies, provide a platform for the exchange of ideas to enhance production, productivity, and profitability. These events are all centered around the theme "Farmer Mobilisation, Education, Value Addition, and Profitability Campaign," aligning with the guidance of His Excellency, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, to empower and enrich local communities through agriculture.
